Mesa Design System
Mesa is a Design System—a collection of pre-built, reusable assets—components, patterns, guidance, and code—that allows its users to build consistent web experiences faster, as well as brand guidelines and resources for visual design intended for use by our web design and developer community at LANL. Mesa unifies the Lab’s identity among all of the Lab’s web products. With Mesa, we can spend less time rebuilding assets and more time supporting the Lab’s mission through digital products and experiences.
The Mesa Design System is named after the foundation on which Los Alamos was built, located in the high desert of northern New Mexico on top of a mountain. The town is 35 miles from the state capital of Santa Fe. The location was chosen because of its remote location and beauty.
